Organised by: Sensmetry and Lithuanian Innovation Agency

In this hands-on tutorial by Sensmetry, participants will see how AI and SysML v2, the next-generation systems modeling language, can be applied while developing a real robot. They will acquire modern Systems Engineering skills that help teams build system models in plain text that AI can not only read and edit, but also automatically generate docs and reports from.

The tutorial will introduce SysML v2, the next-generation systems modeling language. No prior SysML v2 knowledge required. The session covers just enough theory to orient newcomers, then moves straight into hands-on modeling. Participants will leave with knowledge of what SysML v2 is, why it matters now, and how to take their first steps with it in the space industry.

Sensmetry is one of the creators of SysML v2, and Syside – their SysML v2 tool – is trusted by some of the most advanced companies of our time, including defense tech leader Anduril, the European Space Agency, OHB, DLR, and others.

Language of the event: English.
What to bring: your laptop computer.

Teachers: Dr. Juozas Vaicenavicius and Zygimantas Gelbuda

Dr. Juozas Vaicenavicius (ユオザス) is a mathematician, engineer, and entrepreneur. He is passionate about effective, rigorous management and evolvement of complex systems. His engineering & technical leadership experience spans a decade and covers multiple industry verticals, including automated driving systems and advanced satellite constellations. Juozas has contributed to industry-wide technical standards development such as OMG’s SysML v2, ISO 21448 ‘SOTIF’ (a central automated driving safety standard) as well as published research in top journals and conferences. He completed his PhD in Mathematical Statistics at Uppsala University and prior studies at Oxford University.

Zygimantas Gelbuda (ジーギ) leads product engagement team for Syside, working with enterprise customers across the automotive, defense, and aerospace verticals. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Vilnius Tech University, Lithuania. Ziggy, as Zygimantas likes to be called, combines technical background in low-level embedded software engineering for complex cyber-physical systems with hands-on experience in MBSE application, SysML v2 adoption , and commercial strategy.
