Mr. Jérémie FORRAT-JAIME is Minister Counselor / Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of France in Japan since 1
st September 2024.
Prior to his current position, Mr Forrat-Jaime was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Human Development at the Bureau of Global Affairs of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, where he covered issues related to Global Health Security. He previously served as Political Counsellor at the French Embassy in Washington, United States (2018-2020) and as First Secretary at the French Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2015-2018). When he joined the diplomatic corps in 2012 (Oriental Executive), he was Policy Officer at the Afghanistan-Pakistan division within the Bureau of Asia and Oceania of the
Ministry.
Mr Forrat-Jaime is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies and of the National Institute of
Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO).
