Handling of Personal Information

The purposes of use of personal information as stipulated in Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related laws and regulations (hereinafter referred to as “laws and regulations.”) are set forth below.

Purpose of Use

Personal information, excluding specific personal information, held by cross U (hereinafter referred to as the “Corporation” or “we/us/our”) will be used for the following businesses conducted by the Corporation:

  1. Promotion of exchange and collaboration among various players involved in the aerospace business and related fields in Japan and abroad.
  2. Development and support of human resources and venture companies in aerospace business and related fields that contribute to scientific and technological innovation and solving global problems.
  3. Other businesses related to achieving the purposes of the Corporation.

Personal information, excluding specific personal information, held by the Corporation will be used for the following purposes in connection with the businesses described in 1 above. In addition, if the purpose of use of specific personal information is limited in accordance with laws and regulations, the information will not be used for any other purposes than those specified.

Third Party Provision

The provision of personal information to third parties shall be determined as follows:

  1. In addition to cases in which the provision of personal information is required by law, the Corporation may provide your personal information, to the extent necessary, to its business partners, such as Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., Mitsui Fudosan Building Management Co., Ltd., organizations that co-host or sponsor events and programs conducted by the Corporation, and presenters of events and programs that the Corporation hosts, co-hosts, or sponsors, to perform and introduce services related to the business purposes of the Corporation as described in 1 and 2 above, or the business purposes of each organization that co-host or sponsor events and programs conducted by the Corporation.
  2. The information provided will be your name, address, affiliation, phone number, e-mail address and other items necessary to achieve each purpose of use, to the minimum extent of items required.
  3. When providing personal data to a third party, it shall be carried out using documents, mail, telephone, fax, e-mail, electronic media, etc., with due consideration to security control, and when providing electronic data, the delivery shall be made using necessary measures such as encryption.
  4. Upon your request, we will stop providing your personal information to third parties. Please contact the personal information desk. Please be aware that this suspension may result in partial or total unavailability of the service.

Joint Use

Personal information may be shared in events and programs that the Corporation hosts, co-hosts, or sponsors as described in 1 and 2 above.

Name, affiliation, job title, contact information (address, phone/fax numbers, e-mail address), etc.

Organizations that co-host or sponsor events and programs conducted by the Corporation, and presenters involved in the events and programs that the Corporation hosts, co-hosts, or sponsors.

Management of Outsourcing

The Corporation may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope of the above purposes of use. In this case, the contractor will be selected by conducting a strict examination in accordance with the selection criteria prescribed by the Corporation. Furthermore, we will ask the contractor to handle personal information appropriately and will continue to conduct necessary supervision and audits for security management.

Disclosure Response and Inquiries

If you wish to request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, deletion, etc., of personal information obtained and retained by the Corporation, please contact us via the contact information below. After confirming the identity of the person making the request, we will respond within a reasonable period of time and scope. However, the information will not be disclosed in the event of a violation of laws and regulations, a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the person concerned or a third party, or when there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper implementation of business.

In the case of a request for disclosure, please enclose a fixed money order for 1,500 yen (issued by a post office) and a copy of identification (driver's license, passport, or health insurance card (the number, etc. masked in advance)) with the request form and send it by post.
