Why Nihonbashi?
Since the Edo period, Nihonbashi Bridge has served as the starting point for Japan's five Gokaido roads, allowing more people and goods to flow in and out of the city and creating new value. Along with the life science field, the district has promoted open innovation in the space business field in collaboration with JAXA since 2018. With its many commercial facilities and accommodations, Nihonbashi is an attractive urban environment and brings together a diverse range of space business players thanks to convenient transportation from Japan’s domestic space industry cluster.
We collaborate with organizations and companies
in a wide variety of fields that are pioneering the space
field both in Japan and overseas.
We take it a step further when promoting collaborations with industry,
academia, and government.
We go beyond countries and regions when doing programs and events like
collaborations, co-sponsorships,
mutual announcements in programs and events, exchanging publications
and materials, and mutual visits.
We have concluded a partnership agreement with the aim of looking at and conducting, through collaboration and cooperation, activities that contribute to the sustainable growth of the space industry and the creation of innovation over the medium to long term, utilizing industry-academia-government networks and related expertise in the field of space and related fields.
Under the joint auspices of the UK Space Agency (UKSA), the British Embassy in Japan, and JAXA, we held business seminars and business matching events aimed at promoting partnerships between Japanese and British companies in the space-related industries.
