Ms. Juliette Colin-Kaysan

Programme Officer within the Human and Robotic Exploration Directorate, The European Space Agency (ESA)

She studied law at the University of Rennes, then international business at the IGR/CFJM (Centre Franco-Japonais de Management) and spent a year in Japan between Kyoto and Tokyo (including an internship at Datar/Invest in France in Tokyo).
Today, she has over 20 years’ experience in the space and aeronautics sectors, having worked for several companies in France, Germany and the UK before joining ESA in the Netherlands.
After working as a contracts officer, she joined the coordination office of the Human and Robotic Exploration (HRE) Directorate and is now in charge of implementing ESA Terrae Novae exploration programme (i.e. European space exploration activities in LEO, around/on Moon and Mars) while collaborating with ESA International Partners.
On a more personal note, she has a passion for Japan and has kept the following motto ever since her stay in this country: Ganbatte kudasai!
