Small countries, big space dreams. The case of Lithuania

Over the last decade Lithuania has taken an undoubtedly successful path to European space industry. In 2014 two small satellites were launched, marking the beginning of space industry development in Lithuania. In May 2021 Lithuania joined European Space Agency (ESA) as an associate member and adopted the Space sector development concept in 2022. In addition, in 2022 Space Hub LT at Innovation Agency Lithuania, dedicated to advancing the space sector, started operating.Lithuanian industry and academia have been instrumental in this journey.
